OBT Universal Radio Mount Installation Instructions

Tools Needed:

Consult your vehicle’s manual for any specific tools needed to access the rocker switch slot.

Step 1: Locate an Empty Rocker Switch Slot

Find an empty rocker switch slot on your dashboard. Dimensions should be .830" x 1.45" (21.08mm x 36.83mm).

Step 2: Prepare the Mount

Unbox your OBT Universal Radio Mount.

Step 3: Insert the Mount

Insert the mount into the mounting slot of a standard rocker switch opening.

Step 4: Install the Retaining Bracket

From behind the rocker switch opening, slide the Universal Mount’s retaining bracket into place.

Step 5: Secure the Mount

Secure the retaining bracket using the provided thumb screw. Tighten by hand only, using your thumb and pointer finger. No tools are required.

Step 6: Attach Your Radio

Slide your GSMR handheld radio into the mount, ensuring it’s securely held.

Step 7: Check for Obstructions

Ensure the mounted radio doesn’t obstruct other controls on your dashboard. If you find that the mount does not fit in the stock locations of your vehicle, we will work with you to ensure you have one that does.

Step 8: Hit the Trails!

Your radio is now securely mounted—enjoy your next adventure!

Tight Tolerances: Variations in rocker switch slot sizes are normal between different vehicles.

Maintenance Tips:

Periodically check the mount’s security, especially after rough rides.
